- Sorry to say, but 99% of cats do not like taking a bath.(If you didn't already know. :) ) Even though your cats love you to death, they might try to scratch when put in or near bathwater. I figure that my cats get so scared when their body gets wet beacuse they think that they will drown in the water. (well have YOU ever seen a cat swim?) So cats try to hold onto whatever they can, so watchout it could be you! When I give a bath to my cat, I go into the bathtub together and have my cat in front of my stmach, facing away from me. I hold my cat with my arm, and wash with my free hand. This helps your cat to hold onto your arm and usually they stay calm. This works for both of my cats and it not only shortens our bathing time, but I save money on bandages. ;) I hope this works for you and your cats.

- I will say giving a haircut to a cat is 100 times harder than giving a bath and I wouldn't really suggest trying to groom your cats on your
own unless your cat is very laid-back and calm beacuse it can be dangerous. It is really the best to take cats to a professional groomer for a
haircut but if you are going to do it on your own, Here is a litte tip for you.
1) DO NOT USE SCISSORS TO CUT A CAT'S HAIR! Cat's skin is extremely delicate- like tissue paper and if you use scissors, you will likely (accidently) cut them. Bealive me this hurts you both.
2) Use clippers or shears. I personllay prefer useing clippers. I got mine from target and i've been using it for about a year and it's been working
great.
3) Cut your cat's nails before haircut.
4) Be ready to get some scratches from your cats.lol
5) Using Happy Traveler might be a good idea. It helps to control stress-related behavior in your cat. I personally never used Happy Traveler for my cats. (not yet) but it seems like there are many people using it.
6) Try not to cut too close on cat's belly, you could cut their nipples.
7) Be paitent and remember your cat is more nervous than you!
